The "maiden voyage" for the NQ2 (slower class) was anticipated to be at Brown County Dragway in October. Recently, it was decided to bring the NQ2 to Havana for the Nitro Blast.
Along the lines of the NQSA, the rules will be the same. They will be printed here and also included as an attachment for those who want to download them. We will also have copies available for pickup at the track.
For the race at Havana ONLY, Jackie will be collecting her entry fees of $50.00 for which she will pay $500.00 to the winner and, ONLY GUESSING, that pay will cover semi finalists as well....we will know more this week.
Participants will also pay $50.00 to NQSA officials and we will add 100% of this money to the purse to pad and payback what is offered up by the track.
I hope I dont regret this part....In a perfect world, we would like to be able to pay first round losers"something" to offset expenses. With this race happening so fast, sponsor dollars are going to be minimal at best and I will keep my fingers crossed. FYI...we have locked in sponsor monies for the race at Brown County in hopes that we can make that round money happen.
Please keep in mind as you look over the rules that we are here to race but to also try to sell our show to race promoters and fans for the following seasons. Being prepared, organized, and just plain ol "ready to go" will play a key role in the success of this side of the program. The quick side has already been invited back to the tracks that they have previously ran with an incentive offered to return....this is our goal for this group as well.

*****General rules*****
1. All cars are required to dial 5.10 to 5.99.
2. Tree will be a staggered 4 tenths pro tree.
3. This is a DIAL IN race. Dial ins must be easily visible to track personnel.
4. We will have at least 2 time runs.
5. Ladder positions will be drawn. First draw is #1,second draw is #2 and so forth.
6. After the first round there will be no bye runs. If you lose your round and the winner cannot return then you will be reinstated into the following round. If there are no cars broken, then names will be drawn again for a round loser to be reinstated. Once your name is drawn, it will be removed from the draw to keep it from being repeated.
*****Car Rules*****
1. Altereds, front engine dragsters, and door cars allowed.
1972 and older door cars only. In the interest of Nostalgia racing, we are trying to keep the theme “nostalgia” in the cars. Car eligibility will be done on a car per car basis. If you think that your car is close to not fitting the guidelines then please contact one of the numbers listed at the this sheet for verification. THIS IS HIGHLY RECCOMENDED.
2. Aero Roadsters, rear engine dragsters not allowed.
3. NO ELECTRONICS allowed. All delay devices including throttle stops must be removed to compete. All cars will be checked for this. NO EXCEPTIONS.
*****MISC*****
1. 45 minute turn around minimum between rounds.
2. We will come by and alert all cars to when we are ready to roll to the lanes.
3. Please have you and your car ready to go before you enter the lanes. Firesuit should be on and last minute items narrowed down in an effort to not hold the show up.
4. Please talk with your opponent to see what their burnout/staging procedure might be to make sure that one car is not holding up the other.
5. Entry to our races is $100.00 and is 100% paid back at the end of the days race.
****** Rules are written in that we are supplying and selling a show to track owners and the spectators that pay to see the race. Please keep this in mind as you read these rules. Yes, we are racing but its still a show.
