Tomorrow...I will be sitting in the dragster strapped in and staring down a slab of asphalt ready to do what I do. my thoughts will flash back to 2001 and the attacks. I was sitting on our lift truck hanging top rails in a 53 foot van trailer at work...I remember it like it was yesterday. Being so close to Crane Base, they told us we could go home if we wanted but we all stared at the TV watching it unfold and in total disbelief

We were at home getting ourselves ready for a trip to Atlanta to see a Braves game. I had the TV on the Today Show when the plane hit the first tower. Then one hit the second tower, then the Pentagon was hit and finally one crashed in a field.
We didnt know what to do. Called the staduim and they couldnt tell us if the game was going to be cancelled. So we drove about an hour listening to the news on the radio. Called the staduim again and they finally cancelled the game. We drove back home and watched everything unfold on TV. Sad day indeed.

Was at work, the guards came and knocked on the shop door (they aren't cleared to the program) and told us to put the radio on a news station and listen to what was happening. At lunchtime we walked out to the edge of the airport and saw all the jetliners parked out on the tarmac with FBI searching each passenger as they came down the stairs. All of our ready aircraft went to Whiteman to let loaded for bear and start flying CAP flights.

I had just gotten home from work (Factory 3rd shift) I turned on Good Morning America to hear them talking about a unidentified plane had hit the first tower. I was then thinking to myself "how in the hell could someone not see a building that size"!!!!!!!!

Then I watched in dis-belief as the second plane flew right into the second tower "live" then knowing this is no accident.....there was something way more sinister happening right in front of my eyes.

I was glued to the TV the rest of the day getting madder and more pissed off by each passing hour hearing and finding out more about what was really going on to OUR COUNTRY.

Still makes me Very Mad even today the we didn't own some countries after that !!!!!!!!!

God Bless everyone or anyone who was affected by this tragedy and has never forgotten the price America payed that day.
