da shadow says it's a couple of guys from the st. louis area. big plans, didn't buy the ground. makes no sense to put a wad into improvements on property you don't own. same old cake, different wrapper.  |

guess ill give them a chance they are willing to take it over and keep a place for people to race ill give them credit for that i have a lot of respect for anyone who is willing to take a chance and keep a place for people in that area

i've raced there once it was enough for me back in 2000. did they replace the bridge if that what it is,the only place you get moore of a rush in the shut down then the race,joy johns and no running water doesnt get it with my family sorry. jim

The 2011 Coles County Dragway Swap Meet Swap meet will again be at the Mattoon Eagles club on Sunday February 6th. Booth spaces will again be $25 and will be sold on a first come first serve basis. You can reserve your space by calling the track office at 217-348-1000 or by calling Ron at 217-232-7970. General admission for buyers/shoppers will be $5, and the doors will open for the general public at 9 AM.
