Thats right fellow racers the sept. nostalgia race is scheduled for sept 7 & 8th friday night parking & T & T Sat. race with no entry fee full payout how could it get any better ? ;D ;D ;D We are trying to get a heads up on car count if you think you can attend pleaes respond here. I'm making plans to make sure the car, driver and crew will make it. I will be in Peoria for the weekend. It's a wedding--- my daughter's!
We are planning on getting some runs in @ C.I.D. before September.

What happened to the race on Sunday? Is there enough money to race both days? I would rather pay an entry fee and race both days. What does everyone else think?

Well we decided after some testing at C I D that one race will be enough for us. Track conditions haven't improved any and it doesn't sound like they will for this year!!!

We are planning to do some testing at CID on the 12th. I was helping with a 5.90-6.00 door car on July 28th . The track was actually pretty good then. Everyone I spoke with was pleased with the traction.

We were .09 off in the 60'in the right lane and didn't get any better down track the first pass. The 2nd pass in the left lane was a little better @ 60' but got slick after the 330' and wasn't sure if it would stay straight but drove out of it and decided that was enough of that sh--, so we loaded up and went home. We've done enough body work since last fall!

Last September we ran 1.06-1.08 60 fts at Havana. This year it's been 1.12-1.15 but we did some engine work that included a cam change. I had the convertor re-stalled but so far nothing has brought us back to where we were last year. So it's more T & T at CID.

I decided to hang one of the reverse blowers on the crankcase of the little 355 today. Not such an easy deal with the fuel pump sticking out the front. I can't get the vacuum pump low enough because the chassis is too narrow, so it's re-plumb , re-mount and hopefully get it done in the next couple days.
