I pulled the 355 out of the car today and will be headed North to see if we can find a bit more. Next year it's 4.99 or better. Might put some new heads on it,cycle out the rods and add some compression. Plan on running some coolant in the SBC.
Looking to pickup a motor home in the off season and save some motel costs.
What's going on with the rest of NQSA?

cars still in the trailer but i feel im ahead of the game it went in there with no visable damage kinda different from the race season

I'm looking on the bright side and thinking a good set of lug nuts is a GREAT place to start a ground-up rebuild.  I will be picking up a larger mag cap and cutting down a set of injector stacks before heading to the dyno. Also will be looking for a deal on a new set of Goodyears # 2585 before 2012 season. The tires are special order ($$ shipping)from Mullins in Springfield. Motion Raceway reunion this Saturday. I hope to get over there early and be back in Rochester for some tailgating before our 3rd round playoff game. |

Well, put our little 355 on the dyno @ Mike Mullvains shop and got a bit of a surprise. The dam thing made over 600hp and that was with #8 running cold. Actually I was hoping for something around 550hp. It's gonna be a tall task finding another 75 hp + with this engine. We can add compression and gas port the new pistons,add a lightweight ring package. Maybe a new cam and some head work. WE'll see. |
