The steering box on my altered is wore out. It's a P-S brand.
It's a 150" 32 Bantam with an all steel BBC. So there's a lot of weight on the front wheels.
Should I replace it with another P-S or change to another brand?
What are the ratio's available and what is recommended?
I found a P-S box for $500. Is that a decent price?
If I change brands, I'd really like one that bolts in just like the old one.
Thanks for the advice.

My car was setup for a reverse corvair box, swapped it out with a p-s box, seems like I have had nothing but trouble, worked all summer on testing and trying to get the wobble out after the burn out, finnally got disgusted and parked it, don't think its really the box, not sure why changing the box had anything to do with the pitch of the axle ?... Going to give it a shot again in the spring at Gateway, i have a 125" altered with all steel BBC, not sure why changing the box has caused so many issues, had it to do over I would have replaced it with a new corvair box out of speedway, but too late now, I think i probably paided about $500. for my p-s

Alot of cars use a dampner...I know its a band aid cure but it does work.
My altered has a rack and im not sure if they will wobble or not but ive been lucky and it does not.
Good Luck!

Call Rick Fuller at R & R Chassis in Louisville, Ky. That steering box came from him. Good Luck and if you have anyother questions get back with me. Steve
