nostalgia was hot to day!!! thay had a good show looked like 200 or so my been more most raced lot of cool cars we got to test ,first pass went 1.12 60 foot 4.90 .147 .test 2 no time car picked up no slip? thay had flag drops that was cool thay didnt have clock on that time 3 pass left at 4500or so not sure felt right! 60foot ? 4.80 .149.95!!!! didnt change a thing but launch rpm car went straight all 3 times hook good to, harrisburg?  ? |

Tony McConnel (sp?) lives here in Louisville and is the guy that is running this event. They are having another one Aug 28th and he is looking for a group of faster cars to run. We have chatted on the phone a couple of times. I told him about the Nostalgia Quick Series and a little bit about the type of cars that run. He asked about how the payout worked and I really couldn't remember anything other than it was based on an 8 car field and the winner gets $1,000
Since the only phone number I had readily available was Shaffer's (sorry teammate) that is what I gave him. I am sure Shaffer will pass on the correct contact info when Tony calls.

looks like i well be off if my junk will keep runing im going nice track good long shut down they had good trun out last time they need some faster cars would make it better show for the fans an they had the fans!!!

Where is US 60? Did they have classes for Gassers? Always looking for new venues to run. Not sure the old ones will be there the way things are going.

There is also a little more info on this site as well. www.dragracingus60.weebly.comT-roy I did not abandon you on this one, I am still talking to Tony trying to figure out how he ran the other class (non gasser). He is involved in a lot of slot car drag racing and he hauls the track to camps and car shows, etc. So kinda hard to get in touch with him. |

Looking at a race at Union Grove. Lots closer to home. travel costs are a killer.

Im out...the kidney stones, a broken gear, and a trailer that is still loaded have suspended my racing operation until my moons align once again. Which should be no later than Friday...  |
